Sir,
With reference to the letter from this Office dated the 1st June last, 109/10/1519, agreeing, under certain conditions, to the proposed engagement of Reservists, to the number of eight, for the Hong Kong prison service, I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to inform you that a letter has been received from Bombardier F.E. Bullock, 1 Class Army Reserve, Royal Artillery, from which it would appear that he was to leave England for Hong Kong on the 1st July last on appointment to that service.
It is to observe that no application was received from the Reservist in question for permission to leave this country, and consequently no arrangements have yet been made for the issue of his Army Reserve Pay while in Hong Kong.
